We are currently recruiting for a Network & Linux Systems Administrator to join our Manchester team.

  • Salary: circa £40,000 dependent on experience + Company Bonus + Pension
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Permanent contract

We are recruiting a Newwork & Linux Systems Administrator to join our Platform team, who support our extensive data centre installation, cloud prescence, wider ranging customer connectivity and group wide internal IT.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure, the Network & Linux Systems Administrator will use the latest technologies to develop, performance tune and support our hosted and cloud services.

The Network & Linux Systems Administrator will be responsible for researching both technology appraisal and fault finding activities and working with networks, firewalls, storage devices, virtual and physical services at all levels from bare metal, upwards.

You will proven experience of some of the following:

  • Linux
  • AWS
  • Oracle Cloud
  • Docker
  • ECS
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • Bash Scripting

In addition, you will have a strong, analytical ability to problem solve and have careful attention to detail. You will be team orientated and have a good level of commercial awareness. Experience of relational databases such as Oracle, Postgres and Mysql is desirable.

There is an on call element to this role which requires the individual to be on call one out of every four weeks to answer any support calls from customers to assess,identify and fix any infrastructure problems encountered.
