£30,000 - £45,000 per annum dependent on experience + Pension + Company Bonus

The Operations and Planning Division of Tracsis Group plc is looking to recruit two new Software Developers to enhance our existing team based at the new Nexus building in Leeds.

We want to expand on our current offering and take advantage of some exciting and new opportunities.

  • Salary circa £30k - £45k dependent on experience + Pension + Company Bonus
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Based in Leeds
  • Flexi time

Our Leeds team provides bespoke solutions to a variety of operators within the rail industry and the projects worked on span a wide range from enterprise-wide software as a service applications to sophisticated optimisation solutions.

You will rely upon your excellent problem solving skills to assist with software that helps the rail industry to run smoothly and efficiently.

You will work on the full development life cycle working on both Brownfield and Greenfield software development projects at enterprise level, which means you will work across different technologies and whilst utilising your current skills, you will also develop new ones. Whatever the domain, we emphasise the best technical practices and value long term quality.

You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Approximately 2 - 4 years relevant work experience and the ability to code confidently.
  • A self starter with the ability to work with minimal direction and inspire more junior members of the team.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability and passion to problem solve.

  • Able to visualise, articulate and solve both complex and uncomplicated problems and concepts and make logical decisions.

  • Able to write complex code and have a deep understanding of the entire development lifecycle.

  • A lateral thinker and able to keep calm under pressure.

  • Capable of dealing with high quality technical solutions. Confident in sharing views and opinions with others

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering software to agreed and realistic timescales

  • Working as part of a small development teams, working agile, providing support to other team members where necessary

  • Analysis of product requirements.

  • Estimating resources and identifying risks to achieve project goals.

Skills and Experience in one or more of the following technologies would be beneficial, however we are looking for individuals who are keen to learn new coding technologies and can add value:
• Haskell
• C#
• C++
• Functional Programming
