A Class 1 Railroad Yard in Louisville Upgrades its RailComm Yard Control System
23 January 15
A North American Class 1 railroad with a large switching yard located in Louisville, KY has chosen to upgrade their existing RailComm yard control system.
The upgrade includes the installation of new computer hardware infrastructure to run the Domain Operations Controller (DOC) system - RailComm’s proprietary yard control software, as well as new I/O controllers to expand the number of switch machines that are being controlled by the RailComm system.
RailComm’s DOC is a single, off-the-shelf system that seamlessly integrates control solutions. Designed to be completely extensible and expandable, DOC’s modular architecture allows railroads to add, remove or enhance modules with no negative impact on performance or stability.
