Tracsis recognised in Top Tech: Yorkshire 2020

14 December 20

In a tough year for everyone in our industry (and for the world) Tracsis are very proud of making into the top 20 technology companies in Yorkshire. The award is recognition for our innovative work on our Conduit historic data module, the most comprehensive list of traffic surveys ever compiled in the UK.

“The diversity of entrants was excellent, and it was also great to see companies from across the whole Yorkshire region. While it was also heartening to welcome several companies from the previous years back to the Top Tech: Yorkshire, we were delighted to see many new entrants vying for a coveted spot, as well as some of last year’s ‘rising stars’ making it into the top 20.

As always, the six judges had a difficult task however, after much debate, they decided on the final companies for the top 20 and seven that were highly commended. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the judges, all of whom are experts in the Yorkshire tech scene, for their time, effort and invaluable contribution.

Finally, a huge congratulations to all companies which made it into the Top Tech: Yorkshire. The passion, talent and innovation on show was excellent, a big well done to you all.”

he Historic Data Module of the Tracsis Conduit Dashboard is a multi-functional data platform to store, view and utilise a range of data sources.

With the ongoing pandemic disruption, new transport data cannot be collected for traffic modelling, so there is an interim requirement to utilise previously collected historic data.

Tracsis is supporting the transport industry in making informed decisions through valid data, and has opened up a web-based historic data module to its Conduit platform for all of its clients and partners.

The database displays all the locations where Tracsis has been asked to provide quotes for data collection work in recent years, making this the single most comprehensive list of traffic surveys ever compiled in the UK.

The platform is redefining the industry, enabling the efficient search and supply of historic data, allowing key projects to continue during the various levels of restrictions across the UK, and full lockdown periods.

The platform has opened up a number of commercial avenues. Firstly, any historic data requests that are successful and allow the data being released to the user, have a fee attached to the transaction. It has also seen a broad interest from companies and government bodies wanting to use the platform to host their own data and make it available for others to use, with the potential for licence fees and ongoing maintenance costs.
