With December just around the corner, preparations for our annual Christmas appeal are already in full swing here at OnTrac.

OnTrac’s Christmas Appeal 2017

Each year, the company makes a commitment to providing food, gifts and technology to local organisations, charities and individuals who could truly benefit from a helping hand at Christmas. Last year, we were so overjoyed by the contributions from OnTrac’s staff, as well as those from our friends at Nutshell Apps, that managing director, Martyn Cuthbert, offered to double both his personal contribution, as well as that of OnTrac’s, should the teams meet last year’s target again.

Not the kind of team to shy away from such a generous challenge, we rose to the occasion and manage to exceed last year’s target with an almost effortless aplomb. Martyn, being a man of his word, doubled his contributions, and the company has been able to spend a whopping £2,500 on food, toiletries, hampers, gift cards and toys. We have also been able to extend our continued commitment to providing children with meaningful experiences with technology from a young age, by donating mobile phones, tablets and other devices to children across the north-east too.

As an organisation, we are committed to fundraising for charity. Whether it’s a bake sale for Macmillan Cancer, a swear jar for Children in Need (which resulted in the quietest week in OnTrac history!), or our highly anticipated charity foosball tournament, the whole OnTrac team are always eager to come together for a good cause. At the most wonderful time of the year, we’re even more committed to ensuring that we can do our part to bring a festive smile to the faces of children across the region, and give our foodbanks an extra helping hand at Christmas – a very busy time of year for them.

Managing director, Martyn Cuthbert said:

“I did not doubt for a minute that the wonderful team of people I work with would rise to the challenge I set for them. I’m both humbled and grateful for the swell of charitable engagement this year, and cannot thank the guys enough for helping us help others this Christmas.”
