It has been a whole year since operating at a full racecourse meeting, however since the first lockdown ended SEP have been helping several racecourses to run behind closed doors. We haven't had the usual crowds' cars to park, but we have been helping the racecourses to implement their temperature testing and zone segregation.
Our efforts have kept us busy setting up signage to direct competitors, officials and racecourse staff to the correct testing stations, and operating access control to ensure entry to the venue is done within the given restrictions. The feedback we have received from our clients has been very positive as we work together to get horseracing back up and running.
Looking forward now we have the roadmap out of lockdown, planning is already well underway to return to full racing at all our regular racecourse venues by the end of June.
In addition to our regular racecourses, we are delighted to have established a working relationship with two new locations during the past year and will be providing traffic management and car parking services for the forthcoming racing season at both Redcar and Catterick Racecourses. This will provide more opportunities for our teams to stay busy in the next few months.
It has been a very difficult year for everybody, but the future is looking positive, and we can't wait for our teams to be working together again very soon!
