Radio 1's Big Weekend in Devon

01 June 16

The Earl of Devon welcomed us and the rest of the 'world' to his home, Powderham Castle near Exeter, last weekend for Radio 1's Big Weekend. It was the 13th year for Radio 1's Big Weekend, and it saw some of world's best-selling musicians and 50,000 music lovers descend on the Castle in Devon for two days over the May Bank Holiday. Tickets were snapped up by music fans in an hour when they went up for grabs on the internet.

We had been planning for the event for several months alongside other event organisers, local Councils, British Transport Police and the emergency services, and we were onsite for a week getting it ready. On the two concert days we were helped by a further 75 members of staff - a big thank you to everyone for their hard work!

As always, it was fantastic to be part of, and we are already wondering where 2017's will be.
